Accra, October 25, 2025 — Leading New Patriotic Party (NPP) member Asabea Engmann, popularly known as Asabeee, has officially declared her intention to contest for the National Chairperson position of the ruling party.
In a public statement shared on her verified Facebook page, Asabeee reaffirmed her long-standing dedication to the NPP and outlined her vision for a “disciplined and structured party” that prioritizes unity, accountability, and grassroots empowerment.
“I have always been committed to the good course of the party, and I will ensure that we work together as a family to have a structured NPP for the good people of Ghana. A new era of disciplined and structured NPP is here,” she wrote.
Her announcement has generated significant reactions within the party, with many grassroots members expressing optimism about her leadership message, while others see her declaration as the start of a heated internal contest ahead of the 2026 national delegates conference.
