Court Reduces Osei Assibey Antwi’s Bail to GH¢120 Million
Accra, Ghana — December 2025: A High Court has significantly reduced the bail amount for former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Osei Assibey Antwi to GH¢120 million, with stringent conditions attached, in connection with ongoing corruption and financial misconduct charges.
The court’s decision follows a review of the initial bail terms, with the judge considering submissions by defence and prosecution counsel before settling on the revised amount. Specific conditions include strict reporting requirements and the surrender of travel documents to prevent flight risk while the case is ongoing.
Assibey Antwi is facing multiple charges, including alleged misappropriation of funds and abuse of office during his tenure with the GFA. The ruling has drawn attention from both sports and legal observers, who are watching closely as the high-profile case unfolds.
