Woman Arrested for Stabbing Husband Over Dinner Dispute in Eastern Region
JHNews || A domestic dinner dispute turned violent in Maamaso when a woman stabbed her husband over a change of soup — proof that tensions often lurk in the most ordinary moments.

A 21-year-old woman has been apprehended by police at Maamaso, near New Abirem in the Eastern Region, for allegedly stabbing her husband in the course of a heated argument about their evening meal.
According to resident accounts, the dispute began when the husband had provided money for the wife to prepare banku with okro stew. He returned home to find instead banku served with light soup — a change which sparked the altercation. The wife later used a knife to stab her husband after he apparently attempted to retaliate. The victim was rushed to the New Abirem Government Hospital, and subsequently to Koforidua Government Hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the incident and have taken the suspect into custody for further questioning.
