One person has been confirmed dead after a swarm of bees attacked supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kpandai, ahead of political activities in the area. Several others reportedly sustained injuries as they fled for safety during the sudden attack.
Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred while party supporters were gathered, triggering panic and confusion as the bees descended on the crowd. The injured were rushed to nearby health facilities for treatment, while security officials moved in to restore calm.
Local authorities have since launched investigations into the incident as political actors urge restraint and safety during campaign-related activities.
