The Ghana Police Service has arrested 35-year-old Benjamin Owusu for allegedly staging his own robbery and kidnapping near Millennium City, Gomoa Nyanyano in the Central Region.

Police Statement

DSP Victor Kofi Dosoo condemned the hoax, stressing that false reports drain resources and spread unnecessary fear. “Anyone who tries to deceive the public or the police with false information will face the full consequences of the law,” he warned.

Owusu, a native of Gyankama in the Eastern Region, remains in police custody and will be arraigned in court soon.
