On day two(2) of the debate on the 2026 Budget from the minority side of the House, former finance minister and member of parliament for Karaga constituency Hon. Mohammed Amin Adam  described the 2026 budget as a growthless and jobless one that doesn't offer hope to Ghanaians.
According to the Karaga lawmaker, confidence in the economy has gone low which got the investor community wondering.

The Ofoase-Ayirebi MP, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on his turn on the floor queried that if this 2026 budget is intended for jobs and growth, then the present NDC governing government need to invest in job creation initiatives.
Otherwise, there will be a huge problem of a higher rate of unemployment.

On the part of the majority, Hon. Faustina Elikplim Akurugu, member of parliament for Dome Kwabenya focusing on the agricultural sector praised the Mahama-led government on the progress made in the agricultural sector which to her, is a testament to the resilience of Ghanaian farmers who have continuously made the sector a backbone of the economy supported by the Mahama administration.

The House is expected to wrap up and conclude on the debate in the early days next week with conclusion from both leaders of the House ie. Majority leader Hon. Mahama Ayariga and Minority leader Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
