Police Investigate Mysterious Death of 20-Year-Old Senegalese in Kumasi
JHNews || The Ashanti Regional Police are probing what appears to be a suspicious death involving a young Senegalese national in Kumasi. Authorities are seeking public assistance to unravel the mystery behind the incident as investigations intensify.

Kumasi, October 20, 2025 — The Ashanti Regional Police Command has launched investigations into the mysterious death of a 20-year-old Senegalese national, Cheith Toure, whose body has been deposited at the Ebenezer Mortuary in Tafo.
According to a statement released by the Police Public Affairs Unit, preliminary investigations revealed that Toure was brought to the Manhyia Government Hospital on October 16, 2025, by a man identified as Issah, who claimed to be his brother. Issah reportedly told hospital authorities that the victim had been involved in an accident. However, medical records confirmed that Toure was already dead when brought in.
The Ashanti Regional Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has since taken over the case, promising a thorough investigation to determine the cause and circumstances of death. Police have appealed to the public for credible information to assist in their ongoing inquiries.
